    Escape Velocity

    Escape Velocity is the Ambient project of Tilemachos Vlachos and Dimitris Theodoropoulos. They both come from Corfu, Greece a place with classical music tradition where up to nowadays the cultural remains of the Venetian Empire are apparent and have had a huge impact on the development of their sound.
    They first met back at school at a very early age,
    but in 2007 they decided to reunite again and create the Escape Velocity project. Dimitris is a musician, producer and composer with Chemical Engineering studies. He started his musical studies at the Conservatoire of Corfu at the age of seven and has obtained his diploma in Clarinet. He has played in many concerts and has collaborated with many musicians and Philharmonic Orchestras.
    He has been involved in electronic music since 1998. Tilemachos is a musician, producer and Dj who studied Sound Synthesis and Sound Design alongside his Civil Engineering studies.
    He started his musical studies at the Conservatoire of Corfu at the age of twelve and
    has been playing the drums and percussion since then. Tilemachos has been a member of many rock and funk bands but at the end of the nineties
    he got fascinated by the electronic techno and trance scenes and started djing and exploring a different perspective of music composition, which this time included synthesisers, samplers and drum machines. Escape Velocity use both analog and digital tools in their production. They experiment with the timbal characteristics of sounds, shifting tempos, the rhythms and time signatures
    but the mathematical laws of harmony and proportion always distinguish their sound. Melancholic Harmonic Ambient blended with Experimental Glitches, is what describes Escape Velocity’s sound best.

      Phoebus N. was attracted by the music phenomenon in his early age. Always searching for deeper meanings in every music style, trying to realise the parameteres of quality.
      His first touch with electronic music was in 1998 and ever since became a lover of this style and its later developments.In early 2000 he had already started making his own sounds with whatever equipment came in hand.
      After finishing his studies in music technology in 2007 he decided to really focus on what he likes best.. making music!! That’s the time he forms “Sygnals” with his good friends & partners Alex A. & Aristides K. focused mainly in psybient & downtempo electronic sounds. His solo project “Daoine Sidhe” (sounds like Deenee Shee) is his approach in more experimental sounds
      from almost every electronic music style. Finally in “Dendrobates” project he focuses mainly in the full power psychedelic era of sound. For many years Phoebus is Djing in various indoor & outdoor locations,
      presenting quality sounds in both psychedelic & chillout moods. C u aRounD !!

      At the year 2011 Michael start producing chill out music with the project 3,14.
      This concept is an experimental, down tempo style with lots doses of melancholy.The existence of glitch breaks and slinky grooves is smoothly surrounded by a unique atmosphere of psychedelic influences.
      The concept of 3,14 combines the dark overtone of deep forest with the rusty feeling of the background of city lights. Welcome into a bright trip of sorrow, bizarre melodies and deep drones, all in paths of a minimal field.

      Ordo Ab Chao

      Ordo Ab Chao, DJ and producer also known as Bassilis, discovered the psy trance scene in the early ’90s
      through parties in his hometown of Athens. Driven by a passion for the music, he began DJing and
      organizing open-air parties across Greece. In 2000, his travels around Asia, including visits to Goa and
      Kho Phangan Island, brought him into contact with like-minded artists, DJs, and global travelers.
      These experiences enriched his creativity and became a profound influence on his DJ sets and productions.

      He has performed at major festivals and underground parties worldwide. In 2011, he released his first
      track, “Regenerate,” and later that year co-founded Sonic Loom Music with Orestis, Petran, Dark Elf, and
      Daoine Sidhe. He has compiled several notable V.A. releases, including Loomination (2012), Immaterial
      World (2013), Alchemic Recipe (2015), Up Psy Down (2017), Time Deconstruction (2020), and Collective
      Intelligence (2021). Ordo Ab Chao continues to manage and develop upcoming
      psy trance releases for the label.

    • Kulu

      Kulu

      Behind KULU project is Dimitri K. from Thessaloniki, Greece.
      He fell in love with music from his early age and he had influences by multiple musical styles and scenes. Since 1996 he participates in parties and mixes psy-trance.
      He is one of the oldest DJs of the greek scene.
      After all that years of experience, he became a significant producer, best known for his participation in “Metallaxis”,
      the project that everyone remembers and was formed by Romolo (Polyphonia) and him in the year 2003.
      Some of his solo releases were published 2 years later and the Kulu project became official production-wise. He participated in a big variety of parties nationally and internationally and gained a lot of experience.
      Some of his important performances include Boom festival, Forgotten Ritual, Psycrowdelica and Freqs of Nature.
      He joined the Sonic Loom Music collective as an artist and DJ in 2012.

      Behind the project Ergo is Stavros, a DJ based in Athens, Greece. His passion for psychedelic music and parties serves as the cornerstone of his desire to collect and mix tunes. Dark and forest grooves are his preferred style, allowing him to craft sets that evoke a profound psychedelic experience. The term ‘Ergo’ draws from both physics, representing the transfer of energy between bodies or fields through force, and Greek slang, conveying the sensation of being spaced-out.

      Hailing from Munich/ Germany, Dominik H. better known as Joshi got into Psychedelic Trance scene in 2001 and started DJing and organizing events around 2003.
      Followed by years of traveling and DJing on countless
      parties and festivals around the globe,
      his favorite musical style was always found in Deep Underground Psychedelic Trance. Joshi`s Sets usually range between 148 to 156 bpm, carefully selected high quality tracks uncompromising going forward on driving basslines and hypnotic atmospheres, always the aim to lead the trippers on the dancefloor to the ultimate trance dance experience.

      Besides his Solo project he teamed up
      with Californian-based Audiodidakt for “Narco Submarines” and with Deviant Force`s Mutaro for “Destruction Derby”.
      Joshi perfomed in countries such as Austria, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Belgium, Russia, USA, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Thailand, New Zealand and all over Germany on festivals such as Freqs of Nature, Odyssee, Waldfrieden Wonderland, Kali Mela Festival , Masters of Puppets, Paradise Festival, Red Marines, Heaven on Earth, Magik Festival, Insomnia Records Open Air and many more… After beeing one of the founding members of Alice-D Records in 2004 and beeing a label DJ for several other
      major labels, Joshi joined the greek label Sonic Loom Music in 2021. VA compilations compiled by Joshi:

      Yann

      Half Greek, half French, currently based in Denmark, god knows where he’ll go next. Having landed in the psychedelic saucepan at a very young age, he soon started to experiment with subliminal sound design and tribal rhythm forms. His interest in music grew steadily over the years, and in 2013 he decided to attend the SAE electronic
      music production school in Athens. Since then, he can’t stop making music! His passion for the dance floor erupts out of his tracks clearly and loudly.

      Yiannis S. aka Tromo born and raised in Athens,
      has shown great interest in music and music production from a very young age. He studied guitar and synthesizer and after experimenting with various rock and metal bands,
      he was convinced that music is his calling. Around 1997, Yiannis discovered the magic in electronic sounds and psytrance music
      by going to parties and festivals around Greece and Europe. Influenced by the Psychedelic Trance scene, in 2007 he created the Tromo project
      and released his first track on Mighty Quinn Records. In 2011 he joined Sonic Loom and continued experimenting with his unique sound and atmosphere.
      In the process of creating and exploring, two side projects were born “Quadraphonic” with Antonymous and “OhmInside” with Drury Nevil. Yiannis released tracks on Sonic Loom and other well-known labels and performs in parties & festivals around the world,
      among some Freqs of Nature Festival, Space Safari, Mo:Dem Festival & Ritual Festival. Presently he is in full productive & creative mode
      and upon releasing his debut album concentrates on his solo and side projects.
